Was kicked out of X. I alienate the Left and the Right. Just with different issues/topics. Not a native speaker of English, so ignore my linguistic idiosyncrasies.

  1. I don't know how Pritzker will ultimately handle this. He may not know either. But he's establishing a line here: Federal troops and National Guard troops from other states are not welcome in Illinois.

  2. So, has Pritzker ensured that he has constitutional loyalists leading the national guard, who are prepared and willing to refuse an order to federalize?

Like, every Dem Governor needs to purge their national guard leadership of anyone they aren't confident would refuse an order to federalize.

Donald Trump is attempting to manufacture a crisis, politicize Americans who serve in uniform, and continue abusing his power to distract from the pain he's causing families.

We'll continue to follow the law, stand up for the sovereignty of our state, and protect Illinoisans.

  3. Besides that this is objectively great policy and so necessary, Pritzker is just so fucking good at this stuff.

I made a promise to the women of Illinois — as governor, I will ensure your medical decisions will be your own.

Now, we continue fulfilling that promise.

Public colleges will now provide contraception and medication abortion at on-campus pharmacies and student health centers.

  4. I like what Newsom is doing.

I like what Pritzker is doing.

I like what Mamdani is doing.

We need all hands on deck NOW.

We can worry about the presidential race LATER.

    Once we secure its relevance.

  6. NEW: Kilmar Abrego Garcia’s defense team says that the government is attempting to coerce him to plead guilty to his criminal charges.

Per filing, the government promised to deport him to Costa Rica if he pleads guilty — and is now threatening to remove him to Uganda if he doesn’t accept the deal.

The only thing that happened between Thursday-Costa Rica-and Friday-Uganda-
was Mr. Abrego's exercise of his legal entitlement to release under the Bail Reform Act and the
Fifth Amendment. See United States v. Salerno, 481 U.S. 739, 755 (1987). Indeed, the government has done more than just offer these two options in isolation. On Friday evening, the government informed Mr. Abrego that he has until first thing Monday morning precisely when he must report
to ICE's Baltimore Field Office-to accept a plea in exchange for deportation to Costa Rica, or
else that offer will be off the table forever. There can be only one interpretation of these events:
the DOJ, DHS, and ICE are using their collective powers to force Mr. Abrego to choose between a guilty plea followed by relative safety, or rendition to Uganda, where his safety and liberty would
be under threat.
Mr. Abrego has previously explained that this case was part of a larger strategy to retaliate
