Not the biggest Newsom fan. But he's right.
But I stand by that liberals need to really calm down with their dick riding. This is a guy who immediately adopted anti-Trans talking points + agreed with Charlie Kirk on some things.

I understand the enthusiasm for this speech when other Dems aren't speaking this way. But it's possible to say Newsom is challenging Trump here in a way others should - and still to disagree with him now over his selling out & endangering trans people....
I’ve had my disagreements with Newsom in the past but I cannot deny that he is meeting the moment here and is willing to speak with stark clarity about the danger posed by Trump and act accordingly by fighting back on redistricting

This is true, but I hope this will not be the case here. T's successors aren't just less charismatic, they are not even a little charismatic. I think T would have to name a successor and build that person up to MAGA. T won't as he truly seems to believe he will live forever.
I've said this in talking with others. I don't know how this continues when T passes. The cult is all about him. They won't like these policies when they come from someone else.
Maybe it's just wishful thinking, but the faster natural causes work their magic, the faster the collapse.
