The Apprentice was a tv show. But Trump believed what millions of other Americans did and bought into the myth of him being this infallible businessman.

In truth... his business failures are many and legend & lie scattered behind him like egg pallets that have fallen off a badly stacked truck.

He not only didn't write the Art of the Deal. It's said he didn't read it.

This guy goes around saying "we make a deal, that's what I do" and everyone trots it out like some mantra but he's the ultimate fake hero. A total phoney whose only function is to demonstrate that such beasts can thrive.

  1. He’s virtually illiterate & can barely read English, let alone write a book.

  2. Otto, I have read Fake History & Fake Hero’s - I am yet to start on Notorious but feel Trumpski would deserve a chapter in all three! Maybe a title for the future would be Fake People. A TV show called The Americans told the story of Russian Sleepers in US Society - how true to life was that? 🙀

  3. Didn't someone once say: “Repeat a lie often enough and it becomes the truth” Seems to be what's happened here

  4. Many of us understood this back in 2016 and were baffled that he could firstly get selected to be a candidate from a line up of semi normal people and then could actually win an election

  5. I'm not saying this happened or that Trump himself is competent in any way, but it is sickeningly possible to make a packet out of catastrophic failure. If you've got enough money to bet ($2.2bn minimum, last time I noticed) US-based investment banks concocted a way of winning from economic failure.

  6. It’s terrifying that Trump is so deluded he genuinely believes he’s a brilliant negotiator, and he’s surrounded by sycophants who reassure him he is. Putin will be able to bamboozle and manipulate him with ease. Zelensky, with his superior grasp of the situation, is needed to deal with Putin.

  7. He said he was reading it when asked what his favourite book was and realised the only two books he'd ever heard of were the Bible and his own book.
