every generation had some version of “kids these days are doing [X] and it rots their minds” where [X] included everything from books to television to pokemon to social media and most recently chatgpt. you might be tempted therefore to say they were always wrong but they were only wrong about books
Every time the discourse drifts towards "back when I was a resident" or I have an old man thought about a TikTok trend, I remember that every generation was the worst generation.

It’s true, though. Humans have been getting steadily worse for generations now. Naming the WWII generation Greatest was a mistake, cause it ensured all subsequent generations were worse.
