This is not equivalent to civil rights. This is a question about fairness, and you're not going to get your way by forcing it down people's throats. This is how you lose.
Culture is downstream from economics. Support the candidate that wants policies that support equity and watch the culture shift.

Buttigieg is an excellent political candidate and leader. His sentiment is valid. Forcing this perspective on the various communities around the US as though it's as clear of a situation as the civil rights movement is narrowminded. You can't get everything. Grow up.
