During my cop phase, I was also a sociology student and focused on police issues. There was a trend starting in the 90s to lower educational standards. In my own department, I was singled out in subtle ways because I was noticed to always have textbooks in my patrol car.

I am returning to my New Mexico Mountains from Henrietta, Texas. Many of the small towns in Texas are grubby, desolate, decaying, empty store fronts and houses. Henrietta was the exception. Beautiful, clean, thriving businesses, restaurants to compete with any city. Schools, medical. Burros!

I am reading The Odyssey...a phrase passed, "paid his debts all at once". It will come to us all. I am nearly Trump's age and surely have issues to kill me sooner than later, but I really would enjoy to see him dead.
