Progressive Presbyterian pastor from Williamsville, NY. I'm interested in getting to know folks who are searching, wondering, questioning. I like exploring the human condition and learning from all perspectives. I'm comfortable with life's ambiguities.

  1. "Why would we turn the US military against American cities when we have police officers and law enforcement officials whose job it is? I understand that crime is a major issue, but it's not the military's job to be able to do that. We have law enforcement whose job it is to counteract crime."

  3. He spends $200 MILLION of your💰on a ballroom and his family doesn’t deny making billions off his presidency.

As you cheer for him caging brown ice cream men & kids, he invades DC to cover a child sex trafficking ring and trashes the constitution to cling to power.

    He laughs.

  4. Ghislaine Maxwell’s attorney - addressing me directly - says there’s no such thing as prisoner work details outside the facility in the federal prison system. Yes there are. I have receipts.

Dear @MuellerSheWrote :
There is no such thing as work release in federal prison, so your reporting is false. All you had to do was ask any criminal law practitioner, and they would have explained this to you.
I wish we had work release in federal prison — and I wish we treated people behind bars better than we do. How about you?
I'm surprised to hear my progressive friends criticizing more humane prisons and Ghislaine's transfer to a safer facility, especially after she faced serious danger in Tallahassee. The outrage machine wants to turn a safer placement into a scandal. But it's still prison.
And despite the soundbites, prison is a truly awful place. My response on Twitter: Hello, Mr. Markus. Here is the BOP policy that says Out Custody is eligible for work details outside prison. Will you go on record that she will not be allowed outside despite her waiver?
Also, who authorized the waiver, and in exchange for what?

The BOP policy reads: ₽5100.08

Chapter 2, Page 4
OUT CUSTODY. The second lowest custody level assigned to an inmate requiring the second lowest level of security and staff supervision. An inmate who has OUT custody may be assigned to less secure housing and may be eligible for work details outside the institution's secure perimeter with a minimum of two-hour intermittent staff supervision.

  5. Another oped about "crime rates" that never mentions "racism" or "poverty" and somehow manages to blame "defund the police" despite no defunding. We are witnessing a return of Jim Crow, yet it's still the left's fault.
