Why does the BBC think the small boat crossings deserve to be a scary headline in three out of four news bulletins? Why do they never analyse this situation in any depth?

Small boats aren't the problem, it's the number of people coming that is the problem. Probably just as many came before 2016 as now. Before they came hidden in trucks, or in cars/vans or in small boats directly into marina's. Channel crossings in dinghy's only started when other routes were closed 🤔
Just saw an insta post from ITV about what’s he plans to do about the boat crossings. 2,500 comments and I scrolled down and I saw everyone loves him and wants him in now. Maybe 5 neg comments max. Deeply worrying.
Indeed. A very good question. Perhaps it has to do with the political affiliations of the media owners and or those editing/managing the outlets. Let’s face it rational analysis and critiques of the lunacy of Brexit doesn’t get their juices flowing.
UK news media is the problem unfortunately. They have bombarded everybody with anti-immigrant propaganda for 10 years solid.. it's no wonder that a proportion of the country starts to believe it. It is the pumping out of hatred on a daily basis which has got us where we are now.

Pretty sure it's been brought up on Newsnight. It often discusses stuff the regular news doesn't. It was even better at this sort of thing before the DG changed it's format, curtailing it's investigative journalism.

Small boat crossings were a trickle until Boris' regime. In many senses, it was a deliberate policy, as it gave them more victims to blame: Keep the people kicking down, lest they start to kick up.
Why aren't Labour politicians shouting it from the rooftops, should be the question! They are the party of government, presiding over our economic mess, but refusing to give any anti-Brexit message for purely political reasons. 😡
