Someone negotiating a treaty, or business deal, is different. Prof teaching a class. Lovers in a quarrel. Teaching your kid to make spaghetti. That’s not “human autocomplete,” because it requires presence and engagement at a higher order. Whether LLMs can get there is a philosophical question now.

The cashier saying “Thank you, come again,” is just autocompleting the transaction scenario. A nurse taking a patient’s weight and height and recording allergies, same thing. A lot of our verbal interactions are routine scripts we perform thousands of times in appropriate ways.
