Yes, there’s a group with a plan—to destroy to make money (tech) or get total authoritarian control (Christian right). Then there’s this other group that simply hates everything and wants to destroy things for that reason. Then another that loves trolling. Adds up to much destruction and chaos.

Yeah, it's just people who get a charge out of having unaccountable power over others, knowing they can do stuff that pisses others off and they can't do anything back. A society run by sadists. There's very little real vision to most of these guys. And what vision there is, is distopian.
