OpenAI and other AI companies have known about these use cases. The fact that they claimed to put "safeguards" in place is disingenuous. They know it's not possible to fully control the output of these things. This has always been nothing more than a fig leaf. That's what makes it deception imo.

I'm not saying they anticipated all of this. I'm saying that anthropomorphizing the tech was a deliberate decision by OpenAI. And there has been an intentional escalation in marketing from "it can understand humans" to "it can replace humans".
