14. Fellowship is the final of my trinity of Great Fantasy RPGs. Just an absolute groundbreaker of a game and should be getting way more attention than it has. The big innovation is giving the GM their very own character -- the Overlord -- and encouraging them to go ham with it.

12. I have in fact played Beacon and I should be spending this time statting up bads for tomorrow's game. Beacon is FF14 filtered through Lancer, and it's hard to go back to other 'tactical' fantasy RPGs now I've seen what they could be doing.
