Extremely smart of Netflix. Whatever Sesame Street costs, it's almost certainly a fraction of their usual production costs for series, there's probably some sort of tax break in there, and the goodwill Netflix just earned is a publicity multiplier.

The House did pass it, but it has not passed in the Senate yet, and would require 7 Democrats voting in favor of it for it to pass there, or so I have read. So it is still at least uncertain leaning toward unlikely to become law.
