I the future, they will learn to record brain wave patterns to let people share their internal experiences. Then maladaptive daydreaming will be become a highly marketable skill. At least, that's how I imagine it going down.

It is super cool when your department schedules you to have a class off campus and then a class on campus on the day of the week that ends with the seminar (off campus). It is also extremely cool of them to tell you the day before classes start.
