Each failure of a communist regime is different, but most have one thing in common: economic inefficiency. Why hundreds of millions in Europe, but also in China, actively resisted communism and cheered when the regime finally collapsed? You didn't need US for the fall of each kolkhoz.

- Communism and socialism are two different things.
- Communism = abolishment of capitalism. The Soviets did exactly what the US did - all around the world. I understand that US did all they could to prevent it, including various ops and psyops.
-
A mix of chauvinism, soviet sentiment (he installed 100+ statues of Stalin), usual hatred for all the western civilization, nationalism, panslavism, fascism etc.
-
A former KGB colonel is now Russia's president. He speaks openly about his goals, they are similar to soviet geopolitical objectives. As for ideology, it is of secondary importance.
-
FSB, a direct successor of the KGB.

I'm not against action, far from it. I am for calling things accordingly.

There's a long way from what happens now un the US to what Stalin and Hitler did in Europe. Protest, inform, prepare, oppose, unite Sure. But don't get over hysterical, cause you'll lack words for describing what may come tomorrow, next week, in a few years.
-
The steps leading to totalitarian, murderous regimes that decimates millions in a total war frenzy, are similar. But the hysteria of those who on American soil see now Gestapo, Gulags, death camps with burning crematoria, the SS, NKVD, Umschlagatz and genocide need a long, cold shower.

Aren't dismissing and excusing two opposite stances towards identical means used to reach same goal?
