I keep taking things from stores, just small things, reasonable, and they keep arresting me for shop lifting.
Cars make even smart people stupid.
We fail to respect or enforce traffic laws to the point that people don’t actually perceive ignoring them to be breaking the rules. It’s just normal driving.
Absolutely heartbreaking and totally unnecessary... Once you cut transit service, it's always harder to bring it back. I feel for all those who will now face hardships getting to school, work, medical care and many other aspects of life. Even people who don't ride transit will be impacted.

what star trek: strange new worlds suggests is that for 100 years the holodeck had a problem with getting uncontrollably more powerful, trapping and killing people in it and strangling the ship to death, and they just gave up and started installing it on starships anyway and expected users to fix it

SF barely beats NYC for most effective bus system, another place badly in need of rapid transit that actually serves the city. Crazy CTA buses are more productive than the L. Vegas has a better bus system than they get credit for, & the abysmal bus system in Dallas hampers its extensive LRT
I am eight minutes into Eenie Meanie, and it’s got a scene extolling the virtues of public transit. A great start.
I haven’t been following NYC politics too closely, but I do like a campaign stunt that loosely ties together a good thing (public transit) with a bad thing (one of the worst attempts at bribery ever).
