My views are my own. 🇺🇸 Public servant/vet trying to find light in a darkening world. My concern is the speed both parties knees hit the ground in front of big money. The US Constitution is the anchor point to hold onto, we must support and defend.

Guardsmen aren’t full time soldiers. They have civilian jobs. They have family to support, mortgages to pay and most make more than activation pay. They sign up to serve in real emergencies. And right now they’re being taken advantage of. Their employers aren’t happy about it either.

It is a community failure and a failure of the system we have in place to handle it. We have a framework for enabling, not movement or treatment in a positive direction. Not for mental health or drug addiction. We reward keeping people in the state they are in no matter how poor the conditions.
