A ton of voters thought there was no way Trump would be president again. Some were captive to voter suppression. More stayed home. Or voted third party.

Think about it this way. March 2020. A pandemic Trump downplayed, lied about killed half a million people. Citizens lost their jobs, had to stay at home to watch their kids, got sick and died. Farmers couldn’t get Ivermectin for their livestock. Hospitals had refrigerated trucks.

There are a lot of people who sat this election out. Because it didn’t affect them. It does the people they love. They were comfortable when they didn’t think it would change Their lives. They had myopic morals that fucked a lot of marginalized people.

Obama was against gay marriage. He changed his mind. Biden was against a lot of things he changed his mind. John McCain was against things and changed his mind. That being said….i’ll be voting in the primary for anyone but Newsom. But if it comes down to two choices. 🫤newsom.

I understand what you are saying and it is very valid. He tried to pander to the right. I don’t like it. But if it came down to Newsom or Vance in 2028. I’m voting for Newsom. It’s the difference between people that can change their minds, and people who will destroy anyone they hate.
