This was the first time I heard of Traitor's Toll, then I went to a hobby shop the first thing I saw was an expansion box for it.
I think I might have to do a little research into this game tomorrow.

Oh, I didn't realize season 2 started, I'll have to check it out tomorrow! I just finished rewatching the first season after seeing Superman in theaters. It's such a good show.
No "gen ai" needed for any of this, this is relatively old tech. The more work you do as a translator for a translation company, the more you feed the TM that steals from your future work. (I may or may not be an ex-expert in this field)
So, after doing enough work in a given language pair, a translation company will be able to make 50%+ of a given project autocompleted via TM's, with the translator getting a CAT file of the filled in bits, fuzzy matches and blanks, with a price for the language pair based on the segment qualities.
A lot of this isn't necessarily AI, but just old ML stuff where translations are broken up into segments in a CAT tool. Translator fills in the segments, returns the CAT export, middleman plugs it into their TM (translation memory), so those segments in the future are auto completed in future work.
Since 2023, translators and interpreters have seen work dry up, rates plummet and their jobs reduced to editing AI-generated output. Some are leaving the field, others are considering bankruptcy. All despite any major upgrade in translation quality.
This is how AI is killing translation work:
Few industries have been hit by AI as hard as translation. Rates are plummeting. Work is drying up. Translators are considering abandoning the field, or bankruptcy. These are their stories.
Just took "exit 69" onto "big beaver road" iykwim
(I am driving in Troy, MI)
Neat! I see some Hexengarde building prints in there. The teal roof looks so good, I went with a more default red without really thinking about it.
This is an amazing ratio
