I am 1000% with the excellent Ms Jeong on this matter.
I would call myself a professional pessimist and "extremely depressed about the future" but god, please stop going into people's mentions to tell them that the law/courts no longer matter or post "AND YOU'RE SURPRISED???" at them, especially so if they are actively engaged in making the world better
The eternal social media pessimists & cynics undermine our resolve and thus our ability to form coalitions to beat back fascism.
I have zero faith in bourgeois legalism to save us, but at the same time think we should never not be surprised at these depravities

They don’t understand enthusiasm is an actual tangible force when you’re building a movement, not just “vibes” or “hopium”.
Cynics also don’t seem to care that their public defeatism undermines our ability to fight back. They tend to double down when told.
