  1. 3/ That line in the Washington Post on "sketchy Senate disclosures" links to this:

Headline: Trump’s D.C. U.S. Attorney Pick Appeared on Russian State Media Over 150 Times

Subhed: Nominee Ed Martin did not initially disclose his RT and Sputnik appearances from 2016 to 2024 to the Senate.

Trump nominee Ed Martin’s 100-plus appearances on Russian state-directed media RT and Sputnik from 2016 to 2024 alarm some former national security officials.

  2. Ya know, I should’ve seen this coming after walking into one of those witchcraft shops last year to help a friend pick out a gift.

We turned a corner after looking through the tarot decks and there was just a giant phrenology tapestry for sale alongside the astrology ones

  4. A guilty pleasure of mine is reading accounts of people who purposely get scammed so they can document the scam. But it hits different now that my former colleagues who did government anti-scam work have been fired.

There’s also the thing that the kind people at the FTC were too diplomatic to say, which is that President Donald Trump has taken a battle-ax to the very departments that once existed to do scam prevention and enforcement, like, for instance, the FTC, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and parts of the Department of Justice. The heads of those places have been fired or have stepped down, sometimes replaced by crypto industry toadies. Their budgets have been hit. Trump has embraced the cryptocurrency industry that makes it all go.
