It’s not “zero immigration” versus “no illegal immigration”. Immigration is good for a country. Uncontrolled immigration and illegal immigration are the issue. Uncontrolled immigration drives down the wages.

Don’t you think that would have started a war?
Would you have praised Trump had they taken the Russians and place them under arrest or would you have been critical of the act as it would have started a war between the nations?

You dangle trade relations as a carrot to convince Russia to stop the war. I’m sure Russia knows the “stick” option to the continued fighting.
