You're most welcome. I grew up about 40 miles from there, in Maryland. About the only palms one sees in Maryland, DC, & Virginia, where they aren't native, are smaller varieties used in landscaping, particularly around the beaches, and sometimes in pots. Needle palms and saw palmettos especially.

There aren't any on that golf course. There are a few that can be used in landscaping and might be in Virginia Beach, but you don't see palms of that size in Virginia.

Happy birthday!

Happy birthday. My older sister turns 78 in November and she's saying the same thing. My mother would have been 100 today, and she would definitely be in the same camp. I'll never forget how sad she was when Trump won in '16.

They'll grow in the sumner, yes; and are sometimes seen in large pots. Some of the establishments around Virginia Beach include them in landscaping. But there aren't palm trees like that in the vicinity of that golf course.

Thanks!

Absolutely stunning! The evenness of your picot edge looks so lovely and expertly done. I'm going to look up that pattern.

I don't mean to make light of what is of course a very serious matter, but I first read this as "poutine" as in the famous Canadian dish and I was so confused.
