Sometimes, I think people need reminding that 'No ethical consumption under capitalism' is a critique of capitalism, not ethics.
It's like recycling. It was Reduce > Reuse > Recycle. Reducing consumption was always the best option.
"No ethical consumption under capitalism" was a call to reduce consumption, and I see "AI" users invoke the phrase as if they don't have a choice.

It's a call to reduce capitalism. It's stating obviously that ethical consumption CAN happen, just outside of this soul-crushing system.
