Sometimes, I think people need reminding that 'No ethical consumption under capitalism' is a critique of capitalism, not ethics.

  2. I feel if anyone attacks the ethics part, its because they're scared of people rejecting the capitalism part. Its easier to try and convince people you're not the problem than to admit you are.

  3. It's like recycling. It was Reduce > Reuse > Recycle. Reducing consumption was always the best option.

    "No ethical consumption under capitalism" was a call to reduce consumption, and I see "AI" users invoke the phrase as if they don't have a choice.

    Just because there's no ethical consumption under capitalism doesn't mean you have an excuse to not give it your best effort.
