I hope and believe the large majority of Blue folks in Red States are educated and mature enough to understand this could be a necessary temporary measure to resist the Trumpists.
A "Soft Secession" would also hurt & potentially alienate millions of Blue allies who happen to live in Red states.

If the Fed has to print hundreds of millions of dollars each month to make up for the loss of tax revenue then inflation will go through the roof. Blue states, which generate 80% of US GDP, will be able to handle it fine because they are keeping the money that would have been sent to the Feds.
