Very enjoyable episode of Alien Earth this week - it's part speed run of Alien but also an inversion of that film. Babou Ceesay is fantastic.

I fear a rotating panel of presenters and more "accessible" topics will be the way the BBC goes with it.

I know a lot of people were down on the BBC adaptation, but I quite liked the way it tried to address that issue of the second half of the book.
-
My guess is the BBC will move In Our Time to have a rotation of guest presenters because that's what they always do when they can, even if it misses the point.

While I wouldn't cast it in those terms, it does sound like (unsurprisingly perhaps) Del Toro has toned down the behaviour of The Creature from the book who does go off an intentionally murder innocents.

You also see an AI having hallucinations, which is very interesting through the lens of today.

I just knew he was going to push it this way. A shame, as I think a morally grey Creature and Frankenstein is a much richer story.

It's unfortunate that the only adults who have actually experienced what that was like are also the same ones who won't be allowed to have any involvement. You could see a sit down between the old and new cast being incredibly helpful for the youngsters and their families.

Absolutely - we always focus on how Fantastic Beasts failed, but the school set Legacy game was a massive hit.
