The erosion of basic principles like due process and the expanding use of our military on domestic soil puts the liberties of all Americans at risk, and should concern democrats and republicans alike.
I am just going to say this again bluntly: Blue states are going to need to become the federal government. Mutual aid compacts, mutual defense compacts, healthcare, taxes, trade the whole deal. Literally create a new system outside of the fascist federal system.

This is correct. Its already happening.

It’s Time for Americans to Start Talking About “Soft Secession”
Blue states are finally learning what red states have known all along: you don’t need federal permission to govern.

Would need a blue dot passport please. 🥺

Soft Secession needs to start now. I would really like to see Americans be the first and fastest at toppling a corrupt regime in the history of the world. America can be great.👍🙏😁

Time for blue states to build up their own defense industries.

You’re right. Blue states are currently paying for their own hostile and unlawful occupation. If the mid terms are not conducted fairly, blue state citizens should cease paying federal taxes.

The Epstein files need to be released before he kicks the bucket from whatever disease he is hiding!! Once he’s gone, the files will never get released 😡 We The FUCKING People must DEMAND release of all files, unredacted (excluding victims). This will end the fascism if the gop!

I agree. I think blue-state secession is probably where this is headed. I just hope people understand the sacrifice this will entail. It's going to be a big fight.

balkanization is going to happen, its a question of when

Democratic governors have been preparing for a soft secession once Rump got back into office. It's gonna be one rough ride but it can be done.

Stop sending their money to the feds.

One positive aspect is that we are kinda slowly doing that in the background but now it needs to be said out loud open.substack.com/pub/cmarmita...

SOFT SECESSION: Since blue states are donor states meaning they give more to the federal government than they receive, they will decline federal funds and keep their own. I suppose this could extend into giving preferential treatment in business to other blue states.
-
And 95% of the DC Democrats need to b kept far away from shit. We’ll let the Governors that r ACTUALLY fighting and HAVE been, can start things off, while we elect NEW people
-
What happens to all of the people in those states that don’t want their states to secede from the United States?
I don’t think there are any Democrat law makers that even think your idea to secede is a good idea.
Have Democrats really given up on pushing their agenda to the voters?
-
I agree. How we will do it is complicated and will require international recognition and allies, but I think we've hit the point where we have to work outside the extant system
-
No, the nuclear-armed fascists have to be removed, period.

Can't decide about the wisdom of this idea but...sounds a lot like laying the groundwork for a second Civil War to me. Something I always thought was a risk under a second Trump 'presidency'. www.bu.edu/articles/201...
Are We Headed for Another Civil War?
Noted Civil War historian Nina Silber, a BU professor of history and American studies, on whether the current political climate in the US could lead to another civil war.

Blue states are going to need to secede.

And state militias, which is what the 2nd amendment actually was for, rather than for all the gun nuts who are now in ICE.
States will need to form their own forces. It’s crazy but ICE is a brown shirt army. They will be turned on us soon enough

Honestly, if this is the path (i.e. secession), then the alignments will be pretty clear. And unlike the 1860s Civil War, the lines will be vastly different (i.e. West, NE, Great Lakes vs North-South). Also, nothing stops blue states from joining Canada and/or Mexico.
