Oh I just watched this on the I Player after getting into Human on BBC2. I enjoyed your experimental approach; sleeping in the African bush and paddling a raft. Still haven't got to the bottom of what did for the Neanderthals. How about diseases that we were immune too?

In terms of overall crime per capita Cardiff and Birmingham are ahead of London. The city with the highest per capita murder rate is Coventry (I know - Coventry). London being a metropolis not just a city is actually doing remarkably well. Piss off Farage.

A WW1 without MGs probably looks like the lines around Richmond & Petersburg in 1864/5 in the American Civil War or the trenches around Mukden in 1905 during the Russo Japanese war. The fire power of bolt action rifles would still force armies to dig.

The thing is Labour look at their voters and then look at the right wing press (the Mail, the Express, the Telegraph & the Times) and then choose the press every time, they are petrified. They've done it over Palestine, taxes, press reform, asylum seekers, etc, etc...
