• Narrative competition – Create compelling alternative narratives, not just fact-checking (because facts alone often bounce off emotionally primed audiences).

Counter-Propaganda Techniques • Prebunking & inoculation – Preempt regime talking points before they appear, exposing the techniques rather than only the claims. Research shows people resist manipulation better if they’ve seen it deconstructed beforehand. 1/3

It does beg the question of how do we regulate the media so that the pervasive propaganda that has spread so widely across overlapping channels can free so many citizens of the tools of tyranny.
