I know Democrats are overwhelmed (or rudderless, if you are less charitable) by the sheer volume of Trump authoritarian moves, but I’d like to see them unified behind specific goals like “RFK Jr is a threat to public health and needs to go.”

  1. Here’s the problem: Trump digs in when confronted & media lets him get away with it. Voters are extremely short attention spanned which allows him to drag it out. The right has extremely well messaged propaganda outfits that block & deflect his supporters from hearing alternatives. Ex: Epstein List

  2. If I didn’t know any better, I’d swear the strategy is to let RFK Jr. kill off half the Republican voter base with blatant ignorance of health and win that way.

  3. Why aren’t they even TALKING!!!?

At the very least there should be a public legislative analysis of the intent/effect/facts behind

    every single executive order.

So people can unite and act.

  4. Democrats are not overwhelmed! We are not rudderless! We are unified! We are taking political offices in places that have been held by republicans for years (13) We will take the midterms and impeach convict and remove Trump! We will take the House of Representatives and remove Mike Johnson!

  5. That would be because they simply do not care and are excited about what fascism and wide spread disease could mean for their stock portfolio

  6. they shoulda filibustered - pointing out what he believes for 20-30 hours on the senate floor would have garnered useful press coverage - sure, his confirmation was basically inevitable but if you're gonna do public stunts, a focused one like that is good politics and even suggests they care.

  7. How hard can it be to agree on a simple statement of principles? We believe in: Democracy, free and fair elections, the rule of law, the general welfare of the public, science, health care, justice, education, a community of nations, human rights. It's not like we don't have historical examples.

  8. What?!? Next you'll be telling us that whale head juice is not a good treatment for the plague!

  9. I've always thought that his tenure would be measured in Scaramuccis. He isn't a devoted Trump true believer and he has nothing of value to offer Trump going forward. The debt arising from last year's endorsement has been paid in full through the HHS appointment, so no need to keep him on.

  10. Nope.

All efforts. All. Need to be focused on a free and fair election. If democrats don’t win, its over permanently.

  11. You dont seem to be afraid enough. You do not negotiate with terrorists.

Maga has committed to full on war.

The only solution is to balkanize. Blue states are being taxed and illegally being denied funds. We should balkanize. Without negotiation leverage, they will keep taking.

  12. Yes, but. Sadly it is unavoidable, yet again, that the Midterms and General are going to be about preventing Trump from running again. Or if not Trump, perhaps due to health reasons, then a Trump subservient stand-in like family or loyalists.

  13. "Stop killing kids" would be a great unifying platform for the Dems, if only they could buck the donors who need a legislated safe space to kill kids to make their billions.

The "he's a brain-damaged heroin addict" narrative should have been enough to stop him.

  15. I'd like to know what, specifically they're afraid of against MAHA. RFK Jr. has no constituency, no history of elected office, and no medical knowledge whatsoever. He has a track record of 70 years of behaving personally like a lunatic. And nobody trusts this regime on health issues. Easy out.

  16. I think the Democrats are unified against RFK Junior. But what can they do about it? They don’t even have the ability to lead an investigation in Congress. The only path forward is to campaign for the upcoming house elections

  17. Quit standing up for them while they fail at the most crucial time in history If they won't stop Trump y'all fucked And Dems aren't stopping Trump So y'all are fucked mmkay Day one of tariffs should have been the end Senate controls tariffs not executive orders

  18. AIPAC is neither here nor there on this issue, and insurance companies don’t want to pay for hospitalizations if they can help it.

There is zero fucking excuse for congressional Democrats not to get on board with this, no matter what kind of funding they receive.

  19. Like, can we even start pandering to the crowd (who, some were lying) about feeling economically burdened that shit has not gotten one iota better, in fact it is getting slightly worse… can we start pushing that narrative as well. Hard.

  20. It is the absolute lack of coordinated leadership that I find most unforgivable among them. Schumer and Jeffries should step aside if they can’t lead.

  21. They are neither overwhelmed nor rudderless. They simply do not have significant objections to anything that is happening.

  22. Picking a target that feels vulnerable and putting all your might behind it is not only a good way to get people onside, it’s a great mirror image to the right wing’s same approach.

  23. Too negative. They need to focus on kitchen table issues.

Which issues are those, you ask? That question is a distraction from kitchen table issues
