One of the worst (not real) words in the North American vernacular. And don't get me started on 'can I get...' 😄

I use it. 'I've gotten used to ...' sounds right to me. The same sentence with 'got' sounds wrong.

I once used “gotten” in a professional capacity and was derided by colleagues for using an Americanism. I had to point out to them that it was an olde English word, used by Shakespeare himself no less and that I was simply trying to reclaim our language. I will turn a blind eye if you ever do use it
