Tomorrow, it will be 2 weeks since the day of the interview where I thought I was going to be detained. That caused me to develop an absolute shock of gray hair on top of my head in a matter of weeks. Where my case was approved within 10 minutes.
Less than 5 months since I received my passport.
That letter is genuinely one of the hardest things I've ever had to write, it completely split me open but it also opened up the world for me.
It led to me being able to apply for a green card.
And it was only issued on March 12th.
I'd like to give acknowledgment to @singingdogz.bsky.social for helping to review the letter that I sent to the passport office in Ireland, an absolutely catastrophically hard letter to write that laid all my shit bare.
It's the reason they gave me a passport.
I did the math and it took me 4 months and 19 days to go from being undocumented to having a green card.
I don't know how I did it, I don't know how I managed to keep going.
But I did. And I'm slowly coming to the realization that it is a fucking monumental achievement.
Why is it always the bitches with no upper lip and a chin like a pickaxe who threaten people with being thrown into camps?
I hope this bitch finally goes to buy some conditioner for that hair and the display falls on her.
