Power demands respect. It can only get fear. There is nothing in power that one can respect. Good intent, good ability, good works deserve respect. If they turn to the pursuit of power: only fear.

No matter what one's religious beliefs are, donning the appropriate gear when attending a religious event is a mark of being respectful. Of course since Ted has no desire to be respectful anywhere, he denigrates anyone who is.

More and more citizens are looking and listening. Getting wise and communicating their findings to others. If the policy is to get rid of the messengers, soon there won’t be enough people to politicize.

Of course he can't handle the truth. He only deals with lies. They make sense to him - mostly because he believes everyone is lying too. He can only speak or understand that language. This had been like a foreign country to him, and he is doing everything he can to change it to one he can live in.

There seems to be many people in this country who believe physical strength and bluster will lead to good government. A completely false equivalency. If one uses their eyes and ears and monitors results, quite the opposite.

One possible reason is that the more CEOs get paid the more they can afford to pay candidates who will fix any governmental problems they face.
