If that happened more often I think something would actually get done. The ceo shooting had more coverage and consternation than any recent school shooting.

That’s bc none of these protest moments, not even No Kings or the women’s march, had anything to do with Democrats as they understand themselves or the interests that they represent.

It’s not about controlling cities. They just want to shoot libs in the streets. He wanted to do it last time & the army wouldn’t play along. They’re trying to create the conditions to get another chance.

The fundamental problem we face is that 30 years ago it would be very hard to find a lot of people who would support suspending elections and installing a conservative dictator and now you would have a real hard time finding a republican voter who wouldn’t support that if it came to pass

magas do it more bc their views are warped by environment & false perceptions (“2020 was stolen bc I never met one Hilary voter”), whereas liberals think this way bc of a misconception that some views & values (racism is bad, killing kids is bad, Americans hate tyranny) are near-universally held.

The point is I think a lot of people actually are in a bubble- which isn’t a criticism, most ppl are- and vastly overestimate the size of their own faction & appeal of their preferred politics. No one does this worse than magas, actually, but we do it too.

Mass shootings are a result of inequality. The rich and powerful don’t have to experience them, and nothing will change until they do.
