Now he owns the party, so he didn't need anyone & so he got his way. A congress that won't hold him accountable (stop him from doing his stupid tariff's). He also got appointments that are sycophants that will never challenge him. Him getting everything he wanted is his downfall.

I like NASA, people with empathy, & science/exploration in general. Climate change should be everyone's #1 policy issue, because it makes every other policy issue worse. Please enable people that trust scientists, women, and a reality based upon facts.

I think a reason a lot of people didn't understand the damage of a 2nd Trump term was because they remembered how the first term was competent on some things. Why was this? Trump needed regular Republicans credibility the first go around, so his appointments weren't completely terrible.

USAID would still exist (millions are going to die), cancer/vaccine research would still exist (millions are going to die) & if there is another pandemic we're fucked. Oh, and then there is climate change. Which ensures there will be another pandemic. Fun.

You're talking decades of work to rebuild what is lost. It is not something that can be rebuilt overnight & the US won't be the only ones that suffers. Everyone will. Millions will likely die of cancer alone that could have been saved.

While a good idea, it doesn't work that way. Science is a system, you can't just turn it back on. Canada does not have the resources in place to just start it up again. The NIH is irreplaceable, without decades of work to build up that system again.

USAID destruction alone for example = millions will die if we wait until 2028. Same for ending cancer research. You can't just start it up again easily, and the more time you take = millions will die that could have been saved.
