Professional dog friend. I don't have any money to give. If you don't have a pug you should seriously consider it.

  1. what Trump’s enemies are going thru is what the fbi frequently puts powerless people thru, no matter the what administration. There is however a substantive difference if the literal president is simply directing the bureau from the Oval Office: hey that guy pissed me off, go do your thing

I suspect the John Bolton thing is less likely a show trial than a show investigation. The powers of the FBI/DOJ/prosecutors provide the ability to systematically persecute people for years, ruining their lives and costing them enormous amounts of money in legal fees with little recourse.

  2. Biomedical research isn't a YouTube video, you cannot hit pause for an indefinite period of time and then hit play whenever the regime wants.

Samples are destroyed, labs dismantled, scientists leave...

Here's what this means: it's probably unlawful forPOTUS to stop NIH funds from going to medical research, but POTUS can stop that medical research for a lengthy period of time while the Court of Federal Claims hears lawsuits

This, essentially, destroys the capacity for medical research in the US

Illinois is launching a first-of-its-kind legal hotline for LGBTQ+ individuals — Illinois Pride Connect.

As the only state in the nation that will provide free legal advice to protect the LGBTQ+ community, we'll help fight ignorance with information and cruelty with compassion.

  4. Followup: the interesting answer to this conundrum is that Harvard's funding was cut off at the level of the NIH-university reimbursement system, not at the level of the program officers and individual grants. POs believe that the grants are still live, and NIH systems show them as live.

  5. NIH: After review, we note that you have a large unspent balance on your grant. Please explain immediately.

me: well, uh, yeah, one reason we're not spending on that grant is because NIH terminated it in May along with all the rest of federal funding to Harvard, maybe you don't remember
