No DMs. Craftsman at heart, draftsman by profession. I'd retire tomorrow if I could afford it; I've got lots of stuff to do at home. If hope can save democracy, I'm trying to do my part. It's not easy. I was/am OldWhiteGuy on the bird app, FWIW

If I live for awhile, I’ll have to write on the towering power of normalization in times of danger.
So fast. So strong. So dangerous.
We’re watching it in action.
We’re barely months into this and we’ve just completely normalized the domestic deployment of the military in America’s largest cities for no reason at all. Something that would have been a national scandal, if not immediately ended, any presidency from Truman to Obama. All for One Special Boy 🤷♂️🤦♂️

I'm just speaking from my own history of injury and healing. I've injured myself less severely (machine woodworking) and it's taken longer than that to heal.
