Am I mistaken or is Putin being "accepted back on the national stage" not in the gift of journalists to give. If they cannot resist covering it as a story, they can, at least refer to the meeting as NOT a step back to international acceptance.

I always now assume TV and radio news outlets are selling entertainment instead of news. Got sucked into the attention economy and forget why they're important.
