Found out that even if Flip hits the PD, Iwerks still has trademark over the character. For one to use him for commercial reasons, they'd have to get permission for that.
On the plus side, it protects Flip from horror movie adaptations.
Flip the Frog, one of the more obscure rubberhose cartoon characters (and one of my favorite characters of that era), is gonna be hittin' the Public Domain next year.
Personally, I prefer his first two designs over his third design.

Same. I didn't really care much for his third design as he was starting to look less like a frog by that point.
