The thing that really gets me is that civil society did actually do a god job of deterring the worst acts of the Trump administration in his first term and now all these fancy fucks are walking around like they're helpless.

I think it is incredibly fucked up that the leadership of the largest socialist organization in the US uses a website that a Nazi billionaire turned into Stormfront as its main communication platform, and its own internal forums are somehow worse.
it's kind of a problem that to know what the socialists are doing/saying I have to go to the Nazi bar! but there are probably more NPC candidates with an active twitter than without one

Also all Left, Right, and DSA centrists have gotta hop off twitter lol.

DSA irl: no tendency winning everything they want, high quality debate when people aren't being misogynistic assholes towards the chairs, unified anger at Computer.
DSA commentary online: Yetseveskiya 2.0
How people are talking about DSA Convention here is not vibing with what is actually happening fyi.
@leonardpierce.bsky.social can confirm.

DSA unanimously in favor of Butlerian jihad

A huge chunk of people running for president in the 2028 Dem primary really don’t recognize how much the voters for that primary fucking hate the Israeli government.
Pod Save America: Do you think it's time to recognize a Palestinian state?
Pete Buttigieg: I think that that's a profound question that arouses a lot of the biggest problems that have happened with Israel's survival, Israel's right to survival, in the diplomatic scene.

took entirely all the wrong lessons from '24, which is convincing 5% of voters that all the evil shit was worth lower prices. They've raised prices, and likely know this, but all they'll can do is run on discourse that nobody except the terminally online care about
brain entirely cooked online

Could be worse, I suppose--could be Liberation
