That Hofner bass is a treasure! I got to play one like it once -- there was a USO band who visited our base in Turkey and after the concert, we had a jam. Gary, the bassist, let me play his Hofner, which he had found in an Istanbul pawn shop. One dream come true! Thanks, Gary, wherever you are!
