  1. Im fine with a female protagonist for a breaking bad show. As long as the writing doesn't get lazy. Lazy writing ruins all characters. Never really understood the hate I did see for Kim. Skylar though I kind of get.

  2. Here to watch long-time fans of BrBa who still spell "Skyler" with an "a" - you guys are the best!

Like bereft Ozzy admirers - "His music defined me - how can I go on now?!" - still misspelling his last name after 3-5 decades as devoted fans.

  3. This could totally be not satire, but honestly I haven't been excited for any new thing coming out. Everything lately has been made for people to passively watch while scrolling on their phones. 😫😭

Hive mind you say? I'm going to watch it in my "Incognito of Borg" costume.

  5. She was great on Better Call Saul and that's the only I know this show exists. Haven't watched yet but it is on the list.

    I still haven't finished Breaking Bad 🤷‍♂️

  6. But seriously (can I do that here?) I was privileged to see a preview of the first episode plus a live Q-and-A with the great Rhea Seehorn. I'm still tingling! And watch this, especially if you're a fan of Vince Gilligan because he'sdone it again!

  7. Thinking about how Breaking Bad VR portrayed Skyler as a cardboard cut out with a pseudo TTS voice but then at the end her actress just lets go with a “DID YOU FUCK HANK???”

  8. All the people in the replies trying to cope by saying "I agreed with Skylar, but she was just annoying!" are really f*cking telling on themselves.

  10. This is a miss for being dated af. Could’ve salvaged it by adding the word returning or old. Spin off shows general reception kills the joke.

  11. Reminds me that I half want them to do a season of Power Rangers with Skyler and Jesse’s actors as the Zordon-Alpha mentors and Brian Cranston returning to his ancient roots to voice the most despicable cartoon villain ever. With Saul Goodman as toadie sidekick bad guy who turns at the last second.

  12. Shit this takes me back to online arguments about Skylar. She was the most rational actor in the whole situation but everyone demonized her for not wanting her husband in the drug trade. God forbid.

  13. I'm finding the show great, but the online reviews can be brutal. 90% of them are about how they don't like Rhea's voice etc. It's so stupid.

  14. Breaking Bad was a testament to the writers because they had 0 likable characters and still became popular.

You could say that a small few were likeable but everyone was either annoying or a douchenozzle on that show.

Saul was the only truly enjoyable character to watch and he was also a douche.

  15. Everyone’s talking about whether or not they found Skylar annoying, and not about how maybe sainted Vince Gilligan and his team were shitty at writing women at the time and how that is actually a legitimate flaw in Breaking Bad (a show I loved, but even then it was pretty clear)

  16. People forget that everyone in Breaking Bad was a criminal, Skyler for instance committed the crime of being a rational individual placed in a stressful situation and also being a woman.
