Those of us left behind are actually devastated by that decision. So I decided to never take that route because I know that I feel those losses so painfully even decades after.
After years of it, when I find myself in a deep hole, I just say, "oh, back again?" I try to go for a walk and I wait.
Depression has always been an accessory I drag around. The weight of all the darkness has often been too much. After losing another person in my life (friends, close co-workers, and others) to that demon screaming that the world would be better without my mess I finally understood it was a lie.
I had not heard this. Except for creating a fear of us invading Mexico, they must just be annoying. It's not like we've ever been exactly welcoming.
Is the feeling there more fearful?
I absolutely don't even think about it anymore. Those were just bad habits I had adopted and now I've moved on.
Someone call ICE.

Parts of the Constitution were erased from the Library of Congress website, including the section featuring the foreign emoluments clause.
The removal was blamed on a "coding error."
Here's a reminder of what the clause says, just in case Congress ever decides to enforce it...
