You're going to LOSE trying to argue direct-to-customer market loss as correlation of brand management with a company that's as data driven and long-term-brained as The Mouse. You don't get "They changed the recipe/mascot and sales plunged" stories there.
What about pre/post Chapek? Bc I think it’s an interesting question if you look at it in terms of what chapek was trying to do with putting all that stuff out on Disney plus.

No, they won't.
Irrespective of whether or not you (or I!) preferred pre or post-Disney "STAR WARS" or Marvel 'stuff,' that they massively increased the value of both brands isn't in dispute. Worth more now than when they were acquired - again, nothing to do with how you feel about the product 🤷♂️
Disney's destruction of the Marvel and Star Wars brands will be future case studies in business schools about buying a brand without understanding who the customers are, and the impact to revenues when annoying the loyal customer base.
