Dude, the three homes on your lollipop require massive subsidies to have your little piece of paradise. At least transit subsidies help people who are most in need of mobility options.
Immigrants living in cities are doing things like building houses and commercial buildings in the blazing hot sun. That’s hard work to shelter us, just as it takes hard work to feed us.

I don’t think that lobbying organizations like AASHTO will ever allow that to happen. They, along with their state DOT members, are too beholden to the trucking industry and developer interests.
