#HBD Jamie Moyer, born November 18, 1962 in Sellersville, PA. The only person to attend the 1980 Phillies World Series parade as a fan and the 2008 Phillies World Series parade as a player. 25 year big leaguer, freak of nature. 2015 inductee into the Seattle Mariners Hall of Fame.
Not a freak of nature but a testament to talent, confidence, determination, perseverance, and guile. I saw him pitch the fastest 9 inning game in Safeco Field history.( www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/SEA/SE...) He lost but only gave up one homerun. One of the record 522 he gave up in his career.
