We have 3 right-wing parties fighting in a sack for the same steak. You can argue the toss over which one is worst. Until Labour makes a serious change of policy, any denoucement of the far-right will look hollow and disingenuous.

Day in, day out, I speak to ordinary people who are organising to welcome the asylum seekers accommodated in their towns.
They befriend, support them, reach out to them as fellow human beings.
That's the Britain I know, the one I see around me & we never get told about on TV.

I read Revolutionary Acts last year and loved it. It's a great oral history of the lives of black gay men in Brixton in the 70s, 80s and 90s. Some I knew, lots I didn't. And it's as gossipy as it serious
If you’d like to buy a copy of my book, which looks at the lives and history of Black gay men in Britain, you can get a copy from a bookshop or any of the retailers on the attached link. And please do buy books from the other withdrawn authors linktr.ee/revolutionaryacts

265,000 Long Term Empty Homes in England
720,000 empty homes in England currently
1,627,450 second homes in England (99610 in Wales)
It's not assylum hotels stopping us housing homeless people. It's political choice.
Empty home crisis: Why aren't they being used to solve shortages?
There are almost 720,000 empty homes in England. And many more on social housing waiting lists. Is using one to help solve the other a case of a missed opportunity?

The Cameron-Osborne years offer an important reminder that it is possible to excel at the theatre of politics - to "look prime ministerial", to dominate the "media narrative", to project "competence" and to communicate a clear political "story" - while being strikingly inept at governing.
Yet another retrospective triumph for Cameron and Osborne.
Scrapping of audit watchdog for English councils ‘led to soaring costs and chaos’
