The thing I absolutely do not want to do is have them come across as disrespectful. I've felt similarly dissociative and I want to channel that split I've experienced recently into a new character, but... I don't know, I guess I'm afraid to.

I don't know that much about plurality, similar identities, or even stuff like DID. I don't know if any would even apply because the intent is that they used to be separate people and were combined into one without fully melding their consciousnesses.

I've had one other new set of characters in the works, or character as I'm not sure how to categorize them. It's two guys who inhabit the same body, changing who is in control of their body regularly. I'm really worried about how it comes across, though.
