I think 90 % of her brainpower is busy with me, me, me, Of that 90 %, 50 % is worrying about how she looks, what she will wear, if she needs more botox, is her hair soft and silky enough etc. The world is a stage and she is the solo star. Never assume other people’ s minds work as your own.

You have to understand their goals, they want a big docile workforce they can exploit for as little money as possible. They want the young and able workers and not the sick or old people. They need to be as docile as possible. All of the decisions make more sense then.
